Mumbai University Exam 2026: The University of Mumbai has cancelled all examinations scheduled for July 2, 2026, in colleges located in Palghar district and areas falling under the jurisdiction of the Panvel Municipal Corporation due to heavy rainfall. The decision was taken after the District Collector of Palghar and the Commissioner of Panvel Municipal Corporation declared a holiday for educational institutions in view of adverse weather conditions and widespread waterlogging in several areas.

In a statement shared on social media, Mumbai University said the examination cancellation follows the circular issued on July 1 by local authorities declaring a holiday for colleges due to heavy rainfall on July 2.

The university clarified that all examinations scheduled for colleges in Palghar district and within the limits of the Panvel Municipal Corporation stand cancelled. Students have been advised to regularly check official updates regarding the revised examination schedule.

Revised Examination Schedule to Be Released Soon

University officials stated that fresh dates for the cancelled examinations will be announced shortly through the official website and other communication channels of Mumbai University.

Students are advised not to rely on unofficial sources or social media rumours regarding the rescheduled examinations and should instead wait for the official notification from the university administration.

Heavy Rainfall Disrupts Educational Activities

Heavy rainfall over the past few days has affected normal life across several parts of Maharashtra, particularly in Palghar, Panvel, Uran and parts of Raigad district. Authorities reported waterlogging and traffic disruptions in multiple areas.

Following weather warnings issued by the India Meteorological Department, district administrations declared holidays for schools and colleges as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff members.
