JE Education Desk: The State Talent Search Examination (STSE) in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) has been announced by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). The STSE test will be administered by the board in two phases. Participants in the state talent search exam may be students in Class 9.
All registered institutions must complete the form found on the board's official website, nbsenl.edu.in, and submit 50% of their Class 9 enrollment to the board by August 27, 2024, to be eligible to take the STSE exam.

District-level examination
To find and nurture young talent in STEM subjects, the STSE exam will be held in partnership with the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH), according to the official notification.
The initial round, a district-level test, is slated to take place on September 10, 2024. Students who pass the district-level exam go on to the state-level exam, which is the second stage.
State-level examination
In October 2024, there will be a state-level test. Selected students will work on a technological or science project in this phase to advance the community. Districts with up to 20 schools are required to send the top three students, districts with up to 50 schools are required to send the top five students, and districts with more than 50 schools are required to send the top seven students based on the written exam, under the participation policy.
At the state level, exam winners will be recognized for their accomplishments with awards and monetary rewards. A certificate of participation will also be given to every participant.
