NEET PG Round 3 Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the choice-locking facility for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2024) round 3 counselling tonight at 8 p.m. Applicants who are eligible for PG medical admission under the revised NEET PG cut-off may select their courses and colleges in the order of choice on the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in.
The NEET PG counselling schedule for 2024 was amended after the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) announced its plan to decrease the NEET PG cut-off in an effort to reduce the number of unfilled seats after the counselling procedure. Following this judgment, the MCC issued a new schedule and permitted those eligible to register until today.
The NEET PG choice filling facility for round 3 counselling has begun, and the choice locking window will be accessible at 8 p.m. today. Applicants will be able to fill out options and lock down preferences until 8 a.m. on January 16.
The MCC has announced a number of 24,314 seats for the NEET PG Round 3 Counselling 2024. There are 8,313 clear vacancies, 99 newly added seats, and 15,902 virtual vacancies. Virtual vacancy in NEET PG refers to allotted seats that are now displayed as vacant due to candidates choosing the upgrade option. A clear vacancy is a seat that was not awarded in the previous round.
NEET PG Counselling 2024: How to fill choices?
Applicants will be able to submit as many selections as they choose. However, options should be filled in the order of desire, as allotment is based on the choices made by the eligible applicant and seat availability.
“Choices once locked cannot be modified and any request to MCC/DGHS regarding change/alteration of choices will not be entertained. It is advisable that the participating candidates fill-in the choices up to a total of 30-40 choices,” the MCC said.
