NEET UG 2024 Revised Results: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the revised results for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, following a Supreme Court decision to retract the previously awarded compensatory marks. Candidates can check their NEET UG 2024 scorecard using the application number, and date of birth on the portal at exams.nta.ac.in.
According to the revised results, the number of top-ranked candidates has been reduced to seventeen. Previously, the All India Rank Holders (AIR) list included 67 candidates, six of whom were there because they received compensatory marks for time lost during the examination due to invigilator errors. The updated NEET UG merit list now features 17 top-ranked individuals.
The revised merit list shows that Rajasthan leads with the highest number of toppers at four, followed by Maharashtra with three and Delhi with two. Bihar, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Chandigarh each have one topper.

The merit list required revision after IIT-Delhi, following a Supreme Court directive, confirmed that only one option in the physics paper was correct. Many students had argued that, according to various NCERT books, two of the four options could be considered correct. With only one answer officially accepted, students who selected the other option lost five marks (four for the incorrect answer and one for the negative mark). This correction was anticipated to significantly affect the ranks of all exam takers.
The NEET UG 2024 exam was conducted on May 5 for over 24 lakh candidates at 4,750 centers across 571 cities in India, and in 14 cities abroad. The exam took place on May 5, 2024 (Sunday), from 02 PM to 5:20 PM. A re-examination was held on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 candidates who experienced time loss during the original exam on May 5.
