- Those who miss the deadline will not be considered for the refund process.
NEET UG 2026 Refund Deadline Extended: Giving NEET aspirants another opportunity to update their bank details to initiate the refund process, the National Testing Agency has extended the refund deadline once again. Candidates can now complete the bank updating process until July 31, 2026 (11:50 pm), through the official website at neet.nta.nic.in. The second extension aims to ensure that all eligible candidates receive their refunds following the cancellation of the original NEET UG exam held on May 3, 2026.
Earlier, the deadline was July 14, 2026. But as per various media reports, approximately 50% of students have failed to update their bank details within the earlier deadline. The refund will only be initiated after candidates have correctly updated their bank details before the deadline.
How To Update And Confirm Bank Details?
Candidates who have yet to confirm and update their bank details for the refund process can follow the given steps to complete the process.
Step 1: Go to the NTA NEET registration portal at neet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation” link.
Step 3: Complete your two-factor authentication.
Step 4: Confirm and update your bank details, including the name of the bank, account number, IFSC code, and personal details.
Step 5: Carefully review all the details and submit the form.
The agency has further asked candidates to upload a scanned copy of the blank cheque to authenticate bank details accurately.

NEET UG 2026 Results Expected By July 20
As announced by the NTA, NEET UG 2026 results will be released on or before July 20, 2026. After resolving objections submitted by candidates against the OMR response sheets, the agency is likely to announce results. Once released, students will be able to download their scorecard PDFs from neet.nta.nic.in using their registration details. Those who clear the pass will be invited to the counselling process, mandatory for admission to UG medical courses at various colleges nationwide.
