NEET UG Re-Exam Results: As many as 1563 students were scheduled to take the NEET UG re-test. Among them, 813 students (52 percent) appeared for the exam, while 750 students (48 percent) did not appear in the test. At some examination centers, no students took the re-test. This raises the question of how the results for the students who skipped the re-test will be processed. These students will have to accept their original marks, with their grace marks being deducted. Their revised results will be released on June 30, 2024.
According to a Supreme Court directive, the NEET UG re-exam was conducted at seven centers. In Chandigarh, neither of the two qualified candidates participated. In Chhattisgarh, 219 out of 602 eligible candidates appeared, while in Gujarat, only one candidate appeared. In Haryana, 287 out of 494 candidates participated, and in Meghalaya, 234 out of 464 eligible candidates appeared for the re-exam.
Initially, the NTA awarded grace marks to more than 1,500 candidates to make up for the time lost due to a delayed start at six centers on May 5. Allegations arose that this resulted in inflated scores, as six students from a single center in Haryana achieved perfect scores of 720. In total, 67 students nationwide attained full marks in the NEET-UG exam.

However, the agency thereafter revoked these marks, stating that the committee had opted to nullify the scorecards of the 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates who had received grace marks. These students will be permitted to take the test again. On Sunday, only 813 out of the 1,563 students appeared for the NEET-UG re-exam. Those who did not participate in the re-test will have to accept their original scores without the added grace marks.
