NEET UG Re-Test Centre 2026: With only a day left for the NEET UG re-exam, scheduled on Sunday, June 21, another technical glitch has been reported. Abdullah Mohammed Talib, from Nagpur, after downloading his admit card, noticed that his examination centre has been allotted in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Leaving him and his parents in distress, who highlighted that the applicants do not have a passport, following which NTA said technical issues were the reason behind the glitch. The agency has assured the candidate that update admit card will be issued before the exam day.
Talib Applied For Nagpur Exam Centre
For the NEET Re-exam, Abdullah Mohammad Talib has selected Nagpur as his first choice while selecting the exam centres, followed by Wardha and Bhandara. After discovering that he has been allotted Abu Dhabi as the exam centre, his parents were left stunned. His father, Mohammad Talib, says, "After the admit card was downloaded at 4 pm yesterday, we found the Centre mentioned to be a school in Abu Dhabi. We were really shocked as we had not given anything as such in our options."
He asked NTA to allot Nagpur as the examination centre now, as Talib won't be able to go to another district at such short notice. He said, "We had given 3 districts as options but we now demand that Nagpur be given us as the Centre because he is shocked. There is no time to go to any other district".
Meanwhile, they contacted the NTA helpline for immediate remedial action. "We dialled up the helpline number. They told us to send them a mail. When we sent a mail, we received a call that we will be issued a fresh admit card by 4 pm on Saturday".
NTA Admits Technical Issues
After discovering the mistake, NTA has admitted that it was a technical glitch and that remedial measures will be taken. A fresh admit card with the updated exam centre will be issued today, as assured by the agency. While the agency has taken appropriate measures, this incident has once again sparked concerns floating around the June 21 re-test.
The exam will be held tomorrow in offline mode across various centres under strict surveillance. To ensure fair and transparent conduct of the exam, NTA has issued advisories with details of the biometric verification, dress code, and other relevant exam guidelines.
