"It is the biggest injustice to the youth to judge them based on their language instead of their talent. There are different languages in the world & all have their importance. Most of the developed countries have progressed based on their native language. Despite having so many native languages we presented them as backward," he added.
During the event, the PM also released 100 books on education and skill curriculum in 12 Indian languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
During his visit, the PM also interacted with students. This two-day Samagam is conducted at Bharat Mandapam at the old Pragati Maidan.
