Top Engineering Colleges In India: The Ministry of Education on Monday announced the NIRF Ranking 2024 Engineering . The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), launched by the Government of India, assesses and ranks higher education institutions across the country. The NIRF 2024 rankings will cover 13 categories, including overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental, innovation, agriculture and allied sectors, and research institutions. Here, candidates can check the list of the top engineering colleges in India.
This year, IIT Madras has secured the top spot in the overall category and also in the engineering category.

The NIRF 2024 rankings PDF will be available on the official website at nirfindia.org. The rankings provide detailed lists of institutions categorised by type and course offerings, including top universities, colleges, and fields such as engineering, medicine, and law. This allows students to explore and compare institutions based on their needs and interests.
In 2023, the NIRF rankings were issued on June 5. IIT Madras secured the top position in the overall category, with IISc Bangalore and IIT Delhi following in second and third places, respectively. In the universities category, IISc Bangalore led the list, JNU was second, and Jamia Millia Islamia was third. For the engineering category, IIT Madras was first, IIT Delhi second, and IIT Bombay third.
