Noida Schools Closed News: The Noida district administration on Wednesday ordered all schools to remain closed in the region due to heavy rainfall. All schools in Noida have been declared a holiday today, July 26, for all classes.
Due to heavy rains and thunder lashing out on Noida since morning, resulting in waterlogging and traffic congestion, the District Inspector of schools in Noida declared a school holiday at 7 am. However, due to the delayed release of the orders, several students were already on their way to school. As a response, the school administration is now circulating messages on WhatsApp groups to inform parents about the holiday.
It should be noted that while some private schools are open students and parents are strongly advised to contact their respective schools beforehand to confirm if classes are being held or if any changes have been made to the schedule.
According to an internal order issued by one of the schools in Noida, students who have already boarded the school bus will be brought to school, while those who have not boarded the bus need not do so and can remain at home due to the ongoing weather situation.
Meanwhile, in response to the prevailing weather conditions, some schools are sending students back to their homes via school bus. Parents are advised to contact the school administration or the bus in charge to get the latest updates and information regarding their child's transportation arrangements.
Today morning, the Delhi NCR region experienced moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to reduced visibility on the roads and significant traffic disruptions. The continuous downpour has resulted in a rise in the water level of the Hindon River, causing flooding in various houses and roads in the Greater Noida region. Moreover, due to the rising water level in the Hindon River, cars in Noida have been submerged, and flooding has been reported in the Eco-Tech area of Noida. The water level in the Yamuna River has surpassed its previous records, reaching a height of 205.45 meters as of 7 am today, July 26, 2023.
