NVS Admission 2025: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti extends the registration deadline for the Lateral Entry Selection Test (LEST) 2025 to November 19 for admission to Classes 9 and 11 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the academic year 2025-26. Eligible applicants can apply for the selection test by going to the official website, cbseitms.nic.in. LEST 2025 will take place on February 8, 2025.

The correction window for modifying the LEST 2025 application form will be accessible for two days after the registration deadline. Registered applicants will be able to edit parameters such as gender, category (general/OBC/SC/ST), area (rural/urban), disability, and examination medium.

“Online registration for Admission against vacant seats to classes IX & XI (session 2025-26) in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas through selection test is in progress. The last date of submission of online applications is extended up to 19th November, 2024. Candidates may apply free of cost,” said NVS in an official notice.

NVS Admission 2025: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility conditions for Class 9 registration are listed below.

• Applicants who are genuine inhabitants of the district in question and live in the same district are eligible to apply.

• Aspirants who are bona fide inhabitants who are enrolled in Class 8 for the academic year 2024-25 at one of the district's government or government-recognized schools are qualified.

• Those who wish to apply for admission to Class 9 (session 2025-26) at the JNV located in the same district should have the same district of domicile as their district of study in Class 6.

• The applicant's date of birth must be between May 1, 2010 and July 31, 2012 (both inclusive). This applies to all categories of applicants, including SC and ST.

• Only Indian nationals studying in Class 8 in the relevant district are eligible to apply.

The eligibility conditions for Class 11 registration are listed below.

• The applicant's birth date must fall between June 1, 2008 and July 31, 2010 (both days inclusive). This applies to all categories of applicants, including Scheduled Castes and Tribes. Candidates who completed Class 10 prior to the 2024-25 session are ineligible. Applicants can only apply if they are in Class 10 during the 2024-25 academic year.

• The applicant must be enrolled in Class 10 at a government or government-recognized school (affiliated with CBSE or any other state education board or other government-recognized board) in the district where the JNV is located during the academic year 2024-25 (April 2024 to March 2025 session)/ 2024 (January to December 2024 session).

• Only Indian nationals who are in Class 10 in India are eligible to apply.
