As per the revised guidelines, if both the national song and national anthem are sung at any school function or official event, 'Vande Mataram' will be performed first, followed by 'Jana Gana Mana.'

Original Words, Pronunciation And Tune Must Be Followed

The government has also directed that the original words, script, pronunciation, and prescribed tune of the national song and national anthem be followed completely. Additionally, all those present must stand at attention during the singing or playing of the national anthem as a mark of respect.

However, the guidelines clarify that if the national anthem is played as part of a film or documentary, standing up will not be mandatory for the audience, as it would be considered part of audio-visual content rather than a formal presentation.
