OPSC OCS Preliminary Exam 2024: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Wednesday postponed the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023 scheduled to be conducted on October 27, 2024. This decision has been taken in view of the impending severe cyclonic storm Dana. Candidates can check the notification at opsc.gov.in.
“In view of the impending cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, the OCS Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023.24 scheduled to be held on 27.10.2024 is hereby postponed. The next date of the OCS Preliminary examination 2023 shall be notified after 7 days,” reads the notification.

According to the notification, the OPSC OCS Prelims exam's new dates will be announced after 7 days. Candidates are advised to keep checking the OPSC official website for the latest updates.

OPSC OCS Preliminary Exam Pattern
The objective-type exam will consist of two compulsory papers: General Studies I and General Studies II (qualifying in nature). Each paper will carry 200 marks, making the total for the prelims exam 400 marks. Candidates should note that the marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not be considered for final selection, as it serves only as a screening test for the mains round.
This recruitment drive will fill up a total of 399 vacant seats in the organsiation including Odisha Administrative Service, Police Services, Finance, etc.
