Candidates for the position must have a graduating degree from a reputable university or institution in any discipline. A diploma or certificate from an accredited institution attesting to a minimum six-month computer application course. The candidate's maximum age is 18 as of January 1, 2023, which means they cannot have been born later than January 1, 2005.

The preliminary test is followed by a shorthand computer typing test, then an interview.
