Patna School Holiday News:  A fake notice claiming the closure of schools in Patna from June 24 to 28, 2024, circulated on social media. The District Magistrate (DM) of Patna clarified that it was a fraudulent letter and no such order had been issued. Candidates and parents are advised to refer to the official social media handles for authentic notifications.

According to the previous official notification, schools up to Class 8 in Bihar's capital, Patna, remained closed until June 22. Initially, Patna District Magistrate Shirsat Kapil Ashok had declared a holiday for these schools until June 19.

According to the meteorological department, on Sunday, Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 39.1 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in Bihar on the same day was 41.9 degrees Celsius, recorded in Vaishali and Buxar. Kishanganj reported the lowest temperature at 26 degrees Celsius. Vaishali experienced a severe heat wave with a peak temperature of 41.9 degrees Celsius. Moreover, Dehri registered 40.8 degrees Celsius, Bhojpur 41.4 degrees Celsius, Aurangabad 41.1 degrees Celsius, Arwal 41.3 degrees Celsius, and Gopalganj 40.8 degrees Celsius, continuing under heat wave conditions throughout the day.
