Punjab Police Recruitment 2026: The Punjab Police started the online registration for the 3,298 Constable vacancies from today onwards. Interested candidates can submit their application form until March 30, 2026, on the official portal at punjabpolice.gov.in. The Punjab Police had earlier released the official notification on March 6, giving details of the vacancy breakdown across the District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre.

Step 1: Go to the Punjab Police official website at punjabpolice.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, select the recruitment or career option.
Step 3: Click on the “Punjab Police Recruitment 2026” link.
Step 4: Enter your valid email ID and mobile number to register.
Step 5: You will get your login credentials. Log in using them and complete your application form.
Step 6: Upload all mandatory documents in the prescribed format and size.
Step 7: Pay the application fee through debit/credit card or net banking.
Step 8: Verify all details carefully and submit the application form.
Punjab Police Constable 2026: Vacancy Details
The recruitment process aims to fill 3,298 Constable positions. The vacancies are further divided into the two main cadres within the department.
District Police Cadre: 2,522 posts
Armed Police Cadre: 776 posts
Punjab Police Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to meet the following eligibility parameters to apply for the Punjab Police exam 2026.
1. General Category Candidates: Must have completed class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board or institution.
2. Ex-Servicemen: Must have passed class 10th.
3. Language Requirements: Candidates must have studied Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject in class 10th, Or Have passed an equivalent Punjabi language exam as mandated by the Punjab Government.
