QS Asia University Rankings 2024: On Wednesday, November 8, Quacquarelli Symonds published the QS Asia University Rankings 2024. Two Indian institutes, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi, are among the top 50.

IIT Bombay has taken the top spot in India and the 40th spot in Asia overall. Similarly, IIT Delhi was ranked second among Indian institutes and 46th overall.

Peking University in China ranked first in the Asia ranking list, followed by the University of Hong Kong in second place and the National University of Singapore in third place. Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Tsinghua University in China have tied for fourth place.

Zhejiang University of China came in sixth, Fudan University of China came in seventh, and Yonsei University of South Korea came in eighth. Korea University was ranked ninth, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong was ranked tenth. This year's QS Asia University Rankings cover a total of 856 Asian universities.

This year, the QS Asia University Rankings are also available in sub-regions such as Central Asia, Eastern Asia, South Eastern Asia, and Southern Asia.

The rating methodology is similar to that used for the QS World University Rankings, but with some additional indications and weightings, according to the website.

Academic reputation, Employer reputation, Faculty/student ratio, and other factors are among the 11 indicators used to produce the QS Asia University Rankings. International research collaboration, Citations per paper and by faculty, Personnel holding a PhD, Proportion of international faculty, international students, incoming exchange students, and outbound exchange students.
