RRB ALP 2024: Railway Recruitment Boards is scheduled to begin the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) examination today, November 25, 2024. According to the schedule, the RRB ALP Computer Based Test (CBT 1) will be conducted on November 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29. Those who are going to appear for these examinations can check and download the RRB ALP 2024 admit card from the official websites of the respective Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).
RRB ALP Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for the announced vacancies based on their performance in various stages, including CBT 1, CBT 2, typing tests, and computer-based aptitude tests. The detailed selection process for ALP is as follows:
- 1st Stage: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- 2nd Stage: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Typing Skill Test/Computer-Based Aptitude Test
- Document Verification/Medical Examination
The RRB ALP CBT 1 syllabus is categorised into four subjects: Mathematics, Mental Ability, General Science, and General Awareness. The exam features objective-type questions with multiple-choice options.

RRB ALP CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2024
- The exam will consist of objective-type questions with multiple-choice answers.
- A total of 75 questions will be asked, carrying 75 marks in total.
- The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes.
- A negative marking of 1/3 will be applied for each incorrect answer.
- The minimum qualifying marks are:
- UR/EWS: 40 per cent
- OBC (NCL): 30 per cent
- SC: 30 per cent
- ST: 25 per cent

RRB ALP 2024 Exam Guidelines
- Candidates must bring their RRB ALP 2024 admit card along with valid ID proof on the day of the examination. Candidates who fail to bring the RRB ALP 2024 hall ticket will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
- Electronic gadgets, including smartwatches, and mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
- Carrying study materials or books into the exam center is not allowed.
