RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: Total Vacancies
The 21,997 RRB Level-1 (Group D) vacancies are distributed among various departments within the Indian Railways. Here is the breakdown of vacancies:

Who Can Apply For RRB Group D Posts?
Applicants must be class 10 passouts or have ITI qualifications can apply for the RRB Group D posts. Additionally, candidates having a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the NCVT are also qualified to apply.
Regarding the age limit, candidates must be between 18 and 33 years old as of January 1, 2026. As per the government's norms, age relaxation is given to the reserved category candidates.
RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: How To Apply
Here is how you can complete your application process:
Step 1: Go to the RRB official portal at rrbapply.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the “RRB Group D” registration link.
Step 3: Enter your details and register. You will get your application numbers and password on the registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 4: Using these credentials, complete your application form.
Step 5: Upload all mandatory documents in the prescribed format.
Step 6: Pay the application fee.
Step 7: Submit the form after thoroughly checking all details.
RRB Group D Application Fee 2026
General and OBC category candidates have to pay Rs 500, with Rs 400 refundable upon appearing for the CBT. For SC, ST, PwBD, and female candidates, the fee is Rs 250, which is fully refundable after taking the exam.
RRB Group D Salary
Selected candidates will come under the Level-1 pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The basic pay starts with Rs 18,000 per month, along with extra allowances.
