RRC NR Recruitment 2024: The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Northern Railway has released a notification for the recruitment to the post of Apprentice. The application process will start from tomorrow, August 16, 2024. The last date to apply will be September 16. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to apply online at rrcnr.org.

This recruitment drive will fill up a total of 4,096 vacant posts of apprentices at various divisions/units and workshops. Candidates will be selected based on the screening and scrutiny of their applications. There will be no written test or viva voce.

RRC NR Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on a merit list calculated by averaging the percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation/SSC/10th grade (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination, with equal weight given to both. The merit list is expected to be released in November 2024, and the exact date for the announcement of results will be provided in due course.

RRC NR Recruitment 2024: Educational Qualification

Candidates who have passed 10th grade and hold an ITI/NCVT certificate are eligible to apply.

RRC NR Recruitment 2024: Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and not older than 24 years as of September 16, 2024. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities. For additional details, candidates should refer to the official notification.

RRC NR Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

In order to submit the application form, candidates must pay an examination fee of Rs 100. However, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, and women candidates are exempt from this fee.
