The Meteorological Department has issued a red warning for heavy rainfall in Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts for Monday (July 20, 2026), and in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts for Tuesday (July 21, 2026).
According to 'The Hindu', officials stated on Monday (July 20, 2026) that "in view of the red alert issued by the Meteorological Department, all educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts will remain closed on July 20 and 21, 2026."
Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Sirmaur districts Schools, Colleges Shut
All government and private schools, colleges, universities, vocational and technical institutes, and Anganwadi centres in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Sirmaur district will remain closed on July 21.
