School Winter Holidays 2024 News: Due to a severe cold wave, some states have extended the school winter holidays. Here, students and parents can check the state-wise list of school holidays. Candidates and parents are advised to contact their respective schools to know the status of School Winter Holidays 2024.
UP Schools Winter Holiday 2024
The Lucknow DM issued an order directing all classes from nursery to class 12 to close and operate online in Lucnknow. The Lucknow schools will be closed till January 27, 2024. On the other hand, the District Magistrate of Agra announced that schools from class 8 to nursery will remain closed until January 24, 2024. Moreover, the timings for classes from 9 to 12 have been adjusted, with the aforementioned classes being held in Agra from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm.
Haryana Schools Winter Holiday 2024
The decision regarding the school winter break was made for the government and private schools due to the severe cold weather conditions in the state; however, the notification states that the teaching and non-teaching staff will attend school as usual. The Haryana state government has announced the holidays for students from classes 1 to 5. The schools will remain closed until January 27, 2024.

Chandigarh Schools Winter Holiday 2024
The Chandigarh government has announced that all schools, from nursery to class 5, will be closed till January 28. Junior classes will resume their schools on January 29.
Jammu Schools Winter Holiday 2024
The winter break in the summer zone schools in the Jammu division has been extended from January 22 to 27, 2024, according to the Director of School Education Jammu. The winter break will be applicable for students until class 12 in the Jammu division.
Odisha Schools Closed On January 27 Due To SAMALEI project's inauguration
According to the media reports, the Odisha government announced January 27 as a holiday for all state schools and universities due to the Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economy Initiatives (SAMALEI) project's inauguration in Sambalpur.
