School Winter Holidays 2023: Several states have issued directives for school winter holidays in both government and private schools. Orders have been issued for school closures in regions including Jammu, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, and more, for a specified duration. Delhi School Winter Vacation 2023
The Delhi Government has declared winter vacation for all private and government schools, scheduled from January 1st to January 6th, 2024. This year, a six-day winter break has been announced, as previous holidays were granted in November owing to air pollution in the national capital.
UP School Winter Vacation
According to the details, council schools across all districts of Uttar Pradesh will be closed starting from December 31, 2023. These days will be considered part of the winter vacation period. The schools will remain closed from December 31, 2023, to January 14, 2024, allowing students a 15-day winter break.
Rajasthan School Winter Vacation
Winter holidays have been declared by the Rajasthan Board for all schools, commencing from December 25th. Schools across the state will remain shut until January 5th.

Jammu School Winter Vacation
According to the notification from the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ), schools for classes up to 8th will be closed from December 11th to February 29th. Meanwhile, holidays for classes 9th to 12th will held from December 18th to February 29th.
Jharkhand School Winter Vacation
The Jharkhand Government has opted to keep the schools closed until December 31st. Schools will be closed from December 26th to December 31st.
Punjab School Winter Vacation
The Punjab Education Department has declared winter holidays for all government, private, aided, and recognized schools. According to the notification, these schools will be closed from December 24th, 2023, to December 31st, 2023.
Haryana School Winter Vacation
Due to the ongoing cold wave conditions in the state, the Haryana Government has announced the closure of all government and private schools from January 1 to 15. This decision applies to schools affiliated with the Haryana Board, as well as those affiliated with CBSE and ICSE, allowing for a 15-day closure period.
