Schools Closed In UP:  All schools in Ghaziabad, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, and Haridwar are closed from today until August 2, 2024, due to the ongoing Kanwar Yatra. This year, the Yatra began on July 22 and will run until August 6, 2024. Candidates are advised to contact their respective schools for further details.

School Closed In Ghaziabad

According to the district administration, all schools and educational institutions in Ghaziabad will be closed from July 29 to August 2 due to the Yatra.

“Over the next few days, the Yatra will see lakhs of devotees from across the state converge at Ghaziabad’s Dudeshwar Nath temple," said Dharmendra Sharma, the district inspector of schools.

He also mentioned that the order has been communicated to all schools, and any institution found violating it will face penalties. Approximately 50 higher secondary and 80 primary schools are situated along the Kanwar route in the city.

School Closed In Muzaffarnagar

In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, District Magistrate Arvind Mallapa has announced that all schools and colleges will be closed from July 26 to August 2, 2024, according to media reports. The closure includes all primary, upper primary, secondary, CBSE, and ICSE board-recognised schools, as well as madrasas, degree colleges, DIET, and technical institutes for the entire eight-day period.

Schools Closed In Hapur

The Hapur administration in Uttar Pradesh has also declared a school holiday for all government and private schools until August 2, 2024, due to the Yatra. Schools in Hapur will be closed from July 26 to August 2, 2024.

Schools Closed In Haridwar

According to media reports, schools in Haridwar will be closed from July 27 to August 2, 2024. This decision was made due to the expected huge rush of devotees arriving for the Kanwar Yatra.
