Odisha PGT Recruitment 2024: The Odisha State Selection Board (SSB) has released the exam dates for the Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) recruitment exam 2024. According to the official timetable, the Odisha PGT 2024 exam will be scheduled on November 17. Applicants who registered for the SSB Odisha PGT recruitment exam 2024 can obtain the exam schedule from the official website of Odisha SSB at ssbodisha.ac.in.

The exam will be held in three shifts on November 17, 2024. The first shift will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will include courses like business, education, botany, chemistry, geography, geology, economics, history, Hindi, home science, and English.

The second shift runs from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and covers subjects such as IRPM, mathematics, logic and philosophy, and Sanskrit. The third shift, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., will include disciplines such as political science, Odia, physics, psychology, zoology, sociology, Telugu, and Urdu.

Aspirants in the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category will be given an extra 20 minutes per hour at each sitting. According to the official notice, the exam would be held in nine different zones across Odisha: Balasore, Berhampur, Bhawanipatna, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jeypore, Keonjhar, Rourkela, and Sambalpur.

SSB Odisha PGT Admit Card 2024

On November 8, 2024, the board will release the Odisha PGT Admit Card 2024. To download the SSB Odisha PGT 2024 admit card, applicants must provide their login credentials, which include their date of birth and mobile number.

“The candidates are advised to download their "Hall Tickets (Admit Cards)" & "Instruction to candidates" from the website of the State Selection Board from 08.11.2024 onwards by entering their Date of Birth and Mobile Number,” the official notice read.

Odisha PGT 2024: Selection process

The SSB Odisha PGT 2024 exam selection procedure would include both a written examination and a career assessment test. The written test provides 150 points, while the career assessment test is for 50 marks. There will be 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1.5 marks. Each wrong answer will result in a deduction of 0.5 marks.

The required scores for the written test are set at 40% for unreserved applicants and 30% for individuals from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disabilities (PwD).
