SSC Exam Protests: Thousands of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) aspirants gathered at Jantar Mantar and CGO Complex to demand justice for the chaotic Selection Post Phase 13 exam. What started as individual complaints has transformed into a nationwide movement, with over 55,000 formal grievances filed against the examination process. Server crashes, biometric verification failures, and software malfunctions became commonplace during the July 24 to August 1 examination period. Many candidates found themselves stranded at remote exam centers, some located 500 kilometers from their homes, only to face abrupt cancellations and inadequate support from examination authorities.

The alleged mismanagement extended beyond technical issues to include poor center allocation, last-minute admit card distributions, and inadequate communication with candidates. Students reported unsafe examination conditions and confrontational behavior from security personnel when they attempted to voice their legitimate concerns about the process.

Student union leaders, including Delhi University Students Union president Ronak Khatri, have actively participated in the protests, lending institutional support to the movement. Political figures, including Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad, have expressed solidarity with the protesting students, calling for systemic reforms in the examination process. Protesters have presented a comprehensive list of demands, including an independent investigation into the vendor selection process, complete review of Eduquity's contract, and compensation for affected candidates.
