Telangana TET January 2026: The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, has officially published the notification for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET) January 2026 session and the registration is underway on the official website. Interested students can visit the website and apply for the recruitment test. 

According to the official announcement, the application procedure commenced on November 15, 2025, and will conclude on November 29, 2025. Those students who are eligible and wish to teach Classes I-V (Paper I) or VI-VIII (Paper II) in Telangana's government or aided schools can apply online.

Telangana TET January 2026: Exam Details 

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana will conduct the computer-based test (CBT) from January 3 to January 31, 2026 in online mode. The written examination will be conducted in two different sessions, the first examination session will take place from 9:00 am to 11:30 am whereas the second examination session will take place from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Telangana TET January 2026: Passing Criteria

The Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET) will take place for a total of 150 marks and students must attain the minimum passing criteria. General category candidates will be required to achieve more than 60 per cent marks to qualify, whereas the Backward Classes (BC) and Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Differently abled will be required to score over 50 per cent and 40 per cent.

Telangana TET January 2026: How To Apply

Step 1: Students must visit the official website of TG TET at tgtet.aptonline.in/tgtet to apply for the test.

Step 2: Next, candidates need to click on Payment, choose their paper, and then finish the online fee payment.

Step 3: A new window will open on the screen where you have to write down the Journal Number/Transaction ID created after payment.

Step 4: Now, open the registration form by using the details such as the journal number, mobile number, and date of birth.

Step 5: Fill out the application form, upload all the necessary documents, make the fee payment, and then submit.

Step 6: Do not forget to download the confirmation page for future reference.
