TNPSC Diploma, ITI Exam 2024 Postponed: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has postponed the Diploma and ITI examinations for two subject papers initially scheduled for November 13 and 14. The Trade Surveyor exam (subject code 387), scheduled for the afternoon shift on November 13, and the Trade Draughtsman (Civil) exam (subject code 388), scheduled for the afternoon shift on November 14, have both been rescheduled. The new dates will be announced soon. Candidates can check the notification at tnpsc.gov.in.
"In compliance of the orders of the Hon'ble High Court of Madras in W.P.No. 26608 / 2024, the examination for the following Subject Papers, Trade - Surveyor (Subject Code- 387) scheduled on 13.11.2024 AN and Trade - Draughtsman (Civil) (Subject Code - 388) scheduled on 14.11.2024 AN are postponed. The date of the examination will be announced later," reads the notification.

The commission stated that the decision to postpone these two papers was made in compliance with the Madras High Court’s orders in Writ Petition No. 26608/2024.

The Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) and Computer-Based Test (CBT) for diploma and ITI-level posts are being held from November 9 to 16. The examination is conducted in two shifts: the morning shift starts at 9:30 am, and the afternoon shift starts at 2:30 pm. Candidates are expected to report by 8:30 am for the morning shift and by 1:30 pm for the afternoon shift. A grace period allows reporting until 9 am for the morning shift and until 2 pm for the afternoon shift.
TNPSC Group 2 Vacancies Increased
The commission recently increased the number of vacancies for the Group 2 recruitment examination by adding 213 new positions, bringing the total to 2,540. Candidates can check the official notification at tnpsc.gov.in.
