TNPSC Group 2 Registration Window Closes Tomorrow At tnpsc.gov.in; Details Here

TNPSC Group 2 2024: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will conclude the registration window for the Group 2 combined civil services examination 2024 on July 19. The TNPSC Group 2 preliminary exam is planned for September 14 and will be administered in a single shift from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The commission intends to fill 2,327 openings for assistant inspectors, deputy commercial tax officers, special assistants, assistant section officers, audit inspectors, and other positions. Of the total openings, 507 are earmarked for group 2 posts and 1,820 for group 2A positions.

Eligible applicants can complete the TNPSC group 2 application form by going to the official website, tnpsc.gov.in. To apply for the TNPSC Group 2 preliminary examination, aspirants must submit an application fee of Rs 100. Those who did not claim a fee exemption and were shortlisted for the main written examination based on the preliminary exam results would have to pay an additional cost of Rs 150 for the main examination.

The TNPSC Group 2 selection procedure consists of three stages: a preliminary exam, a main exam, and an oral test. The preliminary exam is an objective-type written test and those who pass the preliminary exam move on to the mains exam, which is a descriptive written test. Students who pass the main exam must subsequently participate in an oral test or interview.

TNPSC Group 2 2024: Exam pattern

The TNPSC Group 2 preliminary examination will be administered in both English and Tamil, with 200 questions worth a total of 300 marks. The exam will last 3 hours. The minimum qualifying mark for the TNPSC prelims is 90.
