TNPSC Group 4 Result 2025: The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is expected to release the result for the TNPSC Group 4 Result 2025 soon. All the candidates who have appeared for the exam will be able to check their result through the official website, tnpsc.gov.in.

The TNPSC exam for Group 4 took place on 12th July, 2025. The commission released the provisional answer key on 21st July, 2025 and if candidates were not satisfied with the answer key then they were given time to raise objections against it till 28th July, 2025.

The aim of this recruitment drive is to fill 3935 vacant seats for the posts like Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Junior Assistant, Typist, Steno-Typist (Grade III), Junior Revenue Inspector, and Forest Guard.

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Result Delayed:

According to media reports, the Public Service Commission has conducted the Group 4 examination seven times since 2013. Except for the 2023 examination, results were generally declared within a very short timeframe. Results for three examinations were declared within just three months, while those for the other three were declared within five months.

The delay in declaring the results of the 2023 Group 4 examination, which was to recruit 7,301 candidates, caused widespread controversy as it took more than a year. Learning from this, the Commission expedited the process for the 2024 Group 4 examination and released results for 8,932 posts within just three months.

In light of this, the results of the 2024 Group 4 examination will also be declared soon.

TNPSC Group IV Exam Results:

This year, Group 4 is considered one of the toughest examinations ever. Specifically, candidates and examination instructors reported that more than half of the 100 questions asked in the Tamil subject were very complex and not included in the syllabus.

Approximately 13.89 lakh candidates applied for this examination, with 11.48 lakh candidates actually sitting for it. This means about 287 candidates are vying for each post, resulting in a selection rate of just under 0.35%. In other words, at least 3.5 out of 1,000 candidates will be selected.
