UGC NET December 2024 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has altered the exam dates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) in December 2024. According to the notice, the UGC NET December 2024 exam will be conducted from January 3 to January 16, 2025. The testing agency has also released the subject-wise exam schedule for the UGC NET December 2024.

“The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC – NET December 2024 for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, (ii) ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and (iii) ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ for 85 subjects in CBT, mode from 03rd January 2025 to 16th January 2025,” the official notification read.

The UGC NET December 2024 test will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 85 courses. The exam will be held in two shifts: shift 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and shift 2 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eight days before the exam, the NTA will post a message on its official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, informing students about the exam city centre.

According to the initial notification, the UGC NET December 2024 exam was planned from January 1 to January 19, 2025. The application submission window for the December session ended on December 11, 2024, after a one-day extension.

UGC NET exam city slip 2024

The NTA will soon announce the test city slip for the UGC NET December 2024 exam. The exam city slip is scheduled to be provided next week. Applicants who signed up for the UGC NET December 2024 exam can download it from NTA's official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The exam city slip provides applicants with information regarding the exam city. This slip is sent before the admit card, allowing applicants to choose their exam city and plan their travel. It gives information on the examination centre so that aspirants do not have any difficulty getting it.

To download the UGC NET exam city slip 2024, candidates needs to follow the mentioned below steps:-

Step 1: Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: To download the exam city slip, enter the application number and date of birth.
Step 3: After this, candidates can check the information about the exam centre and city.

UGC NET 2024 admit card

The admit card will be distributed around a week before the exam. The admit card will include the applicant's name, roll number, exam date and time, exam centre address, special instructions, and other relevant information. The applicant will be unable to take the exam unless they have the admit card, thus it is critical that they download it correctly and bring it with them on the exam day.

Additionally, the NET exam is used to determine eligibility as an Assistant Professor and for PhD admission.

UGC NET 2024 exam pattern 2024

* UGC NET Exam Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours)
* Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

- Paper 1: This paper will consist of objective-type (MCQ) questions. It will include questions from broad subjects, such as education, logic, general knowledge, and research methods.

- Paper 2: This paper will include questions about the applicant's chosen subject. This paper will assess the applicant's skills and subject knowledge.
