UGC NET December 2024 Session: The UGC NET December 2024 exam will start tomorrow, January 3, 2025, and will end on January 16, 2025. The exam will be conducted in two shifts, inlcuding the first shift, which will start from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam is divided into two papers. Paper 1 includes 50 questions carrying a total of 100 marks and assesses general skills such as awareness, reading comprehension, reasoning, research aptitude, and teaching ability. Paper 2, on the other hand, focuses on the candidate’s chosen subject, consisting of 100 questions worth 200 marks.

UGC NET Exam 2024: Exam Guidelines For Candidates
- Carry a printed copy of the admit card, one passport-size photograph, and a valid ID (PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, or Aadhaar Card) with a name matching the admit card.
- Read all instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the examination.
- The use or attempted use of electronic devices is strictly prohibited inside the exam centre.
- Any malpractice will result in being booked under Unfair Means (UFM), leading to a three-year exam ban and possible criminal action.
- Sit in the seat assigned according to your roll number. Check the question paper matches your admit card subject and report any discrepancies to the invigilator immediately.
- Report to the exam centre two hours before the test starts to complete frisking and registration. Registration will close 30 minutes before the examination begins.
- Enter the exam hall as soon as it opens. Late arrivals due to traffic or transportation delays may result in missing important instructions.
