UGC NET December 2024 Notification:  The University Grants Commission (UGC) has added a new subject to the National Eligibility Test (NET), starting from the December 2024 session. Candidates can register for the new UGC NET subject when filling out the December 2024 exam application form. Candidates can find the syllabus for this newly introduced subject at ugcnetonline.in.

The UGC announced via a post on the microblogging platform X that "Ayurveda Biology is now introduced as a subject in the UGC-NET exam. Starting December 2024, candidates can opt for this unique subject, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge and the ancient science of Ayurveda.”

“Based on the expert committee’s recommendations, the Commission, in its 581 meeting held on 25th June, 2024, has decided to add “Ayurveda Biology” as an additional subject from December 2024 onwards to the existing list of subjects of UGC NET," reads the notification.

Earlier this year in June, the UGC introduced Disaster Management as a new subject. The UGC NET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is held twice annually, in June and December.

UGC NET December 2024: Notification Expected Soon

The NTA is expected to issue the official notification for the UGC NET December 2024 soon. Once released, candidates will be able to check the UGC NET 2024 notification at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The UGC NET December 2024 notification will include the details of the exam dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, selection process, and other important details.
