UGC NET December 2023: The University Grants Commission's National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) e-certificate and JRF award letter for the December 2023 session have been issued. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made the UGC NET certificate download link available on its official websites, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.in.
The NTA announced intentions to make certificates and documents available via the UMANG and Digilocker programs. The testing body administered the UGC NET Dec 2023 exam for 83 disciplines over 8 days in 15 shifts across 292 locations.
A total of 9,45,872 applicants enrolled to take the tests from December 6 to 14 and 19. Of the total registered candidates, 6,95,928 appeared.
Those who qualify for the JRF prize are entitled to conduct research in their post-graduate field or a related area, as well as to become assistant professors.
“The universities, institutions, Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for full-time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the,” the NTA said.
JRF-qualified individuals would be eligible for UGC fellowships under different schemes, subject to placement in universities and IITs.
The UGC NET e-certificate will be valid for three years beginning with the date of issuing of the award letter. However, for those applicants who have already enrolled in a PhD program, the fellowship shall begin on the day of the declaration of the UGC NET Dec result or the date of their enrollment, whichever is later.
Candidates must enter their UGC NET December 2023 application number, password, and security pin to get the e-certificate and JRF award letter.
