UGC NET June 2025: The UGC NET June 2025 notification marks the beginning of an important phase for aspirants seeking eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions in Indian universities. The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially announced the notification on April 16, 2025, opening the registration window for candidates across the country. Applicants can now visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in to complete their registration and application process. The last date to submit applications is May 7, 2025, with the deadline for fee payment set for May 8, 2025.

This year, the UGC NET June session will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, covering 85 subjects. The exam is tentatively scheduled between June 21 and June 30, 2025. Candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections to their application forms from May 9 to May 10, 2025.   • Registration Window: April 16 to May 7, 2025 (till 11:59 PM)

  • Last Date for Fee Payment: May 8, 2025 (till 11:59 PM)

Eligibility and Application Fee

  • Eligibility: Indian nationals aspiring for Assistant Professor, JRF, or both in Indian universities and colleges.

  • Application Fee:

    • General: ₹1,150

    • General-EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹600

    • SC/ST/Transgender/PwD: ₹325

  • Fees can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Exam Pattern and Structure

  • Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)

  • Papers: Two (Paper 1 & Paper 2)

    • Paper 1: 50 questions, 100 marks (General Teaching & Research Aptitude)

    • Paper 2: 100 questions, 200 marks (Subject-specific)

  • Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)

  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Marking Scheme: 2 marks per correct answer, no negative marking.
