UGC NET Result 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare the results of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for the December session on February 4, 2026. Once the results are released, candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check their qualifying status and download their scorecards on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, using their login credentials: application number and password.
According to the official schedule, the UGC NET 2025 examination was conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode for 85 subjects across various cities nationwide between December 31 and February 7, 2026 (excluding some days). The NTA released the provisional answer key on January 14, and candidates had until January 17 to raise objections.
UGC NET Result 2026: Steps To Download
Once the UGC NET exam result link is active, candidates can use the following instructions to download the UGC NET scorecard:
Step 1: Visit the NTA official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “UGC NET Exam Result/Scorecard” download link.
Step 3: Enter your application number and password.
Step 4: The result will be displayed in PDF format.
Step 5: Download it and see your qualifications.
Is There A Rechecking/Re-evaluation Option For UGC NET Exam Result?
As per the official announcement, there is no option for rechecking or a re-evaluation process for the UGC NET exam result. Once the results are declared, they will be final. No further requests will be entertained.
UGC NET Qualifying Marks:
Candidates must note that they need to score more than or equal to the qualifying marks as set by the authorities. For General category candidates, 40 per cent total marks in both papers together is required. While candidates from SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD, and third gender categories need to score at least 35% total marks.
