UP Board Exam 2024: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has started the high school (Class 10th) and intermediate (Class 12th) board exams on Thursday, February 22. On the first day of the exams, more than 3 lakh students skipped them due to the unprecedented tight measures taken to prevent cheating.

The use of barcode-equipped ID cards for room inspectors was one of the measures, along with increased room inspectors, CCTV surveillance, and online monitoring of exam centres at several levels. Approximately 3,33,541 applicants did not appear on the first day, including both shifts.

The UP board exam schedule spans 12 working days, commencing on February 22 and concluding on March 9. A total of 55,25,308 students have been registered, comprising 29,99,507 boys and 25,25,801 girls. The exams will take place across 8265 examination centers.

Examination Arrangements

The UP Board has taken extra precautions to ensure that the exams go smoothly. With more than 3 lakh invigilators deployed and ID cards with QR codes on them, the board has taken additional measures to stop cheating. To supervise the opening of question paper packets at examination locations, a three-tiered team has been formed.
