UP Board Exam 2026: Ahead of the commencement of the 2026 high school and intermediate examinations of the Board of Secondary Education (UP Board), the Board administration has geared up to maintain the purity of the examinations and the dignity of the evaluation.

The Board Secretary has written a letter to all the Aligarh District School Inspectors in the state, directing that if cash (rupees) is found in a candidate's answer sheet, the copy will be sealed and disciplinary action will be taken against the candidate.

The UP Board Secretary issued instructions to the District School Inspectors:

The UP Board's high school and intermediate examinations will begin on February 18, 2026, and continue until March 12, 2026. The examinations will be held at 136 centers across the Aligarh district. The Board's primary objective this time is to ensure a completely transparent and standard-compliant examination and evaluation process.

The Board Secretary expressed concern in a letter issued that, based on past experiences, some candidates, either unknowingly or under the influence of misconceptions (such as believing that paying money will increase their marks), attach Indian currency notes to their answer sheets.

Board exams will begin on February 18 and conclude on March 12:

The Board has clarified that such actions are not only against exam discipline but also jeopardise the candidates' future. To prevent this, all examination centers in the state have been instructed to adhere to the following guidelines strictly.

Center administrators will ensure that students are informed before the examination begins that placing any unwanted material or currency in the answer sheet will be considered indiscipline.

Watchful Eye:

Room invigilators have been instructed to keep a close eye on students during the examination to ensure that no student commits such a mistake.

Amount to be deposited in the treasury:

If currency is found in any answer sheet during compilation or evaluation, it will be immediately deposited in the government treasury as per the rules. Such incidents will be reported to the District School Inspector without delay, so that appropriate action can be taken against the concerned student and center. The Board has made it clear that any negligence in the process of compilation and evaluation of answer sheets will not be tolerated.
