UP NEET UG Counselling 2023: Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh will start with the second round of UP NEET UG counselling 2023 choice-filling and locking process today, August 23. To fill out the choices for state National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling, candidates have to visit the official website of UP NEET at upneet.gov.in. Applicants are informed that the last date to submit choices is August 26 till 5 pm.

Candidates are informed that the round 2 seat allotment result will be out on August 28, 2023. Once the result is released, students have to report to their allotted institutes between August 29 and Septem 4, 2023.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2023: Here's how to fill

To fill out the choices, candidates have to follow the following steps.

Step 1: Visit the official website of UP NEET at upneet.gov.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘registration UG (MBBS/BDS)’ link.

Step 3: Now, log in using your credentials.

Step 4: After this, choose the preferred colleges.

Step 5: Lock the choices and take a printout for further reference.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2023: Important Instructions

Regarding the choice-filling, the directorate provided the following instructions:

- Candidates will have the option to select from Seat Against Cancellation (SAC) seats in addition to the vacant, unreported, and resigned seats from the first round during the choice-filling process in round 2. If a pre-admitted candidate's seat in the SAC is upgraded, his spot will be given to another applicant by the rules using the merit cum option.

- Applicants must lock their selections after filling them out. The seat allocation process will not include a candidate whose choices have not been locked.

- The candidate will not be required to select the seat they entered in the first round during the choice-filling process because, if that seat is allotted to them during the allocation of the second round, they will need to reappear at the nodal centre and finish the admissions process for that seat to avoid having their admission cancelled.
