Lucknow School Closed News: Due to the extremely cold weather, Lucknow schools will be closed till January 10, 2024, for students up to class 8. While for the students in classes 9 to 12 the school will be open from 10 am to 3 pm. Students and parents are advised to stay connected with the school administration to know the UP school holiday status.
In view of the current weather, the Lucknow administration decided to extend the winter vacation. "In view of the cold wave, the Lucknow district administration ordered to close schools up to Class 8 till January 10. Schools will remain open from 10 am to 3 pm for classes 9 to 12," tweeted news agency ANI.

The attached notice highlights the school management's responsibility to protect students from the cold by ensuring appropriate measures like using heaters to maintain comfortable room temperatures. The leave mentioned is specifically granted for students; however, decisions regarding teaching and non-teaching staff will be made independently by the school's higher authorities.
Earlier, due to the severe chilly weather conditions and dense fog, the district administration in Lucknow announced the closure of schools for students from Class 1 to 8 until January 6. Similar directives were issued to schools in Prayagraj, with secondary schools across all boards instructed to remain shut until January 6.
