UP School Closed: In view of the severe cold wave and dense fog, the district administration of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh has decided to declare a holiday, prioritizing the health of the students. Following the instructions of the District Magistrate of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, District Basic Education Officer Dr. Vineeta has declared a two-day holiday for students up to class 8th. This holiday will be effective from December 29th to December 30th.
Holiday for students up to class 8th:
While students will have a holiday, teachers will be required to be present at school for administrative and departmental work. The order clarifies that all teachers will be present at school from 10 AM to 3 PM and will complete U-DISE, APAR ID, and other necessary educational and administrative tasks.

According to the order, this decision will apply to all government schools in the district, as well as all schools affiliated with various boards and private aided schools. This step has been taken keeping in mind the difficulties faced by children in commuting to and from school in the morning due to the continuously falling temperatures, cold wave, and fog, and the adverse impact on their health.
DBE Officer Instructions for All Schools:
The District Basic Education Officer has instructed all Block Education Officers, principals, and school managers to ensure strict compliance with the order. Parents have welcomed this decision by the administration. They say that sending young children to school in such extreme cold weather could be dangerous for their health. The education department has also indicated that further necessary decisions may be taken based on the weather conditions.
