Lucknow Schools: Due to the current cold wave in the Lucknow region, the district administration has directed that all government, non-government, and private schools up to class 12 conduct online classes till February 3rd, wherever at all possible.
"In schools where classes are being conducted physically, their timings will be between 10 am and 3 pm only," said District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar, as reported by news agency IANS.
According to the order, the school administration is responsible for ensuring that sufficient measures are taken to safeguard students from the cold in the classroom and room heaters and other equipment are used to keep each room at a comfortable temperature.
The district magistrate has directed officials to ensure strict adherence to an order stating that students should not be required to sit outdoors or in the open for classes, practical sessions, or exams. Moreover, the compulsion for students to wear uniforms has been considered unnecessary, and it is advised that students be allowed to attend school wearing warm clothing.
