UPPSC PCS Prelims Result 2025 OUT: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the results for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) and Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF)/Regional Forest Officer (RFO) Preliminary Examinations 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exams can now access their results on the Commission's official portal, uppsc.up.nic.in.

UPPSC Prelims Result 2025: Steps To Check

Step 1.  Visit the UPPSC website at uppsc.up.nic.in.

Step 2.  Navigate to the "Results" section on the homepage.

Step 3 .  Look for the link titled "Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination-2025 and Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) / Range Forest Officer (RFO) Services (Preliminary) Examination-2025".

Step 4.  Click on the link to open the PDF list of roll numbers.

Step 5 . Use the search function (Ctrl+F) to find your roll number.

Step 6.  Download and save the result PDF for future reference.

The preliminary exam, a mandatory screening test for many candidates, was held on October 12, 2025. This year's recruitment drive saw a significant increase in the number of available positions, from 200 to 920. This includes 814 PCS posts and 106 ACF/RFO posts.

Out of 626,387 registered applicants, a total of 265,270 candidates appeared for the preliminary exam. According to Commission Secretary Mr Ashok Kumar, 11,727 candidates have been provisionally selected for the main exam.

The qualifying ratio reflects the highly competitive nature of the exam, with candidates competing for 920 advertised vacancies.

What's next for qualified candidates after the Prelims Results?

The Commission has stated that a separate official notification detailing the main exam schedule and the online application process for successful candidates will be released soon. Prospective candidates are advised to regularly check the UPPSC website for these important updates.

Regarding marks and cut-off marks, the Commission clarified that detailed marks for the preliminary exam and category-wise cut-off marks will be published on its website after the final selection results are announced.

In another development, the UPPSC has promised to implement reforms in its selection process. This follows an affidavit filed by the Commission with the Supreme Court, which considered the recommendations of senior advocates and an amicus curiae appointed by the court. A key aspect of this reform is the handling of answer keys:

A committee of subject experts will review all objections and questions regarding the provisional answer keys. The preliminary results are declared based on the answer keys finalised by this expert committee.

Candidates who have qualified for the UPPSC PCS Mains 2025 should immediately begin their full preparation. The focus now should be on the descriptive and in-depth syllabus for the Main Exam, which is the next stage of the recruitment process for these prestigious state services.
