Alwar Elections 2024 LIVE voting: Alwar, a Lok Sabha constituency in Rajasthan, will witness polling in the first phase of Lok Sabha election, which kicks off in the country today, April 19. The voter turnout stands in Alwar at 53.31 per cent by 5 pm. Alwar is among the 12 out of 25 constituencies which go to polls today.The results will be declared on June 4, 2024. Traditionally, the Indian National Congress has been dominant in Alwar, winning the seat ten times. However, the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged victorious in the last two elections. Bhupender Yadav, a Union Cabinet Minister and BJP's National General Secretary, is contesting from Alwar. He will face competition from Lalit Yadav, a Congress MLA who won the Mundawar seat in the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly elections.

5:00 pm: The voter turnout stands in Alwar at 53.31 per cent, Bharatpur at 45.48 per cent, Bikaner at 48.87 per cent, Churu at 56.52 per cent, Dausa 45.63 per cent, Ganganagar 60.29 per cent, Jaipur at 56.57 per cent, Jaipur (Rural) at 48.67 per cent, Jhunjhunu at 44.97 per cent, Karauli-dholpur at 42.53 per cent, Nagaur 49.92 per cent, Sikar 48.85 per cent by 5 pm

4:00 PM: In Rajasthan, by 3 pm, 41.51 percent of the voting has taken place. Ganganagar remains on top with the highest voting percentage of 50.14 percent, while the Karauli-Dholpur seat lags behind with the lowest voting percentage of 33.86 percent.

3:00 PM: Voters are actively participating across various constituencies in Rajasthan. The voter turnout stands at 43.39 per cent by 3 pm in Alwar

2:30 PM: Amid the ongoing voting for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, clash ensued between supporters of BJP candidate Jyoti Mirdha and Congress-supported RLP candidate Hanuman Beniwal. Initially, a debate ensued between the parties' supporters, leading to subsequent fighting. The police had to resort to mild force to regain control of the situation. Upon receiving information about the altercation, former MLA Richpal Mirdha also arrived at the scene.

2:00 PM: In Alwar, Rajasthan, Congress leader Jitendra Singh Alwar urges all citizens to cast their votes, stating that their choices will shape the nation's trajectory. Criticising the Modi government, he asserts its failure across various fronts. 

1:30 PM: Rajasthan Elections Live Updates: In Alwar, EVMs were replaced at two locations and VVPAT machines at one location. Peaceful voting continues across 2736 polling stations in the district, with a turnout of 24.58 per cent by 1 pm. Special arrangements have been made by the district administration and police.

12: 20 PM: As per the current updates, voter turnout in Rajasthan stands at 22.51 per cent within 4 hours of polling. The highest turnout of 27.70 per cent was recorded in Sriganganagar, while the Karauli-Dholpur Lok Sabha seat saw the lowest turnout at 18.74 per cent.

11: 50 AM: Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra and the state's first lady, Satyawati Mishra, cast their votes at Mahatma Gandhi Government Residential School, C Scheme, Sardar Patel Marg in Jaipur

11:35 AM: Alwar Rajasthan Elections Live voting news: Former Union Minister Bhanwar Jitendra Singh, accompanied by his family, cast his vote today in Alwar. Jitendra Singh voted at the booth located at Kendriya Vidyalaya, with his wife Ambika Singh by his side. During this, Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Julie was also seen with Jitendra Singh.

11:25 AM: Rajasthan Elections Live voting news: Congress candidate Sanjana Jatav cast her vote from booth number 200 in Kathumar village, Bharatpur Lok Sabha seat. Accompanied by her family, they exercised their vote to participate in the ongoing election process.

10:00 AM: In Bikaner, Rajasthan, BJP candidate Arjun Ram Meghwal exercised his vote today, he stated, "A large number of people have cast their votes for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections."

9:00 AM: Voters have actively participated across various constituencies in Rajasthan. The voter turnout stands at 14.14% in Ganganagar, 11.10% in Jaipur, 10.94% in Jaipur Rural, 8.83% in Jhunjhunu, 9.71% in Karauli-Dholpur, and 10.34% in Nagaur.
