Congress has faced a major setback in the recently held Assembly and is set to lose the current ruling states Chhatisgarh and Rajasthan while facing a huge defeat against BJP in Madhya Pradesh.
With this, now Congress has lost hold in the Hindi heartland and only has its government in Himachal Pradesh. The Aam Aadmi Party has claimed the spot of largest In Southern states, the party made an inroad to Karnataka earlier this year and now eyeing to form government in Telangana.
The recent election trend can be the decisive factor for the INDIA bloc ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has called for the meeting of the INDIA bloc on November 6.
With already some internal feud in the alliance, the leaders of different parties from the INDIA bloc has delivered different tone on the Congress upset.
NCP leader and Veteran Sharad Pawar said that this outcome will not affect the INDIA alliance.
"I don't think this will have any impact on the INDIA alliance. We will be meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's residence in Delhi. We will speak to those who know the ground reality. We will be able to comment on it after the meeting only," Pawar said.
On the future of the INDIA Alliance, National Conference Vice President and former J&K CM Omar Abdullah says, "I cannot say anything. The situation of the INDIA Alliance in the state elections, if the same continues in the future, then we will not be able to save ourselves."

“After today’s results, Aam Aadmi Party emerged as the largest opposition party in north India with 2 state governments – Punjab and Delhi. If the alliance survives and proceeds, the Congress will have to make compromises in the number of seats that it contests in 2024,” Jasmine Shah posted on X.
Trinamool Congress blamed the failure of Congress and did not give credit to BJP for the state poll results. "This is not a success of the BJP, this is a total failure of Congress. The Congress must come out from its 'zamindari mentality' and must share and implement the experience of other senior leaders like Mamata Banerjee," said Trinamool spokesperson Kunal Ghosh.
JDU leader KC Tyagi also blamed Congress but assured that it is not the defeat of the INDIA alliance. "The Congress defeat is not the defeat of the INDIA Alliance. It has been made clear that the Congress cannot compete with BJP. The Congress will have to come out of this syndrome," KC Tyagi said.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge assured that the party will overcome this defeat and will eye on the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. “We will overcome temporary setbacks and prepare ourselves fully for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections along with the INDIA parties,” said Kharge.
