Gurgaon Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 Live News: Gurgaon Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 Live News: Counting of the votes concluded in Gurgaon at nearly 8:30 PM with Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Rao Inderjit Singh registering a massive victory against Congress' Raj Babbar. While Singh secured 8,05,161  votes, Babbar was able to get 7,31,696 votes. Meanwhile, Gurgaon is among 10 parliamentary seats in Haryana. The election was held in Gurgaon in the last phase of the Lok Sabha polls and the results have been announced today, on June 4.

The seat is a stronghold of the BJP, with Rao Inderjit Singh holding the Gurgaon seat since 2009. While in the 2009 polls, he contested on a congress ticket and won the election, in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha polls, he won the seat on a BJP ticket. This time, the constituency witnessed a close race between the sitting MP Rao Inderjit Singh, who is a BJP candidate, and Raj Babbar, who has fought polls on a Congress ticket.

As the counting began, Raj Babbar led the race with nearly 1.5 lakh votes, while the BJP received over one lakh votes, according to EC trends at 10:51 AM. However, the game changed and Inderjit bounced back. At 1:42 PM, he was leading with 10,145 votes.

Gurgaon Key Issues And Challenges

The infrastructure of the place urban rejuvenation, and industrial growth have witnessed a push in the BJP government. However, increasing the air quality index (AQI), reconstruction of depleted water bodies and recharge of groundwater have always remained a challenge in Gurugram Lok Sabha constituency.
