Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 LIVE Voting Updates: Voting began at 7:00 AM for the one-phased Haryana assembly election 2024 on October 5, 2024. Over 2 crore voters are set to vote to choose 90 candidates from among 1031 in the fray at 20,629 booths. The main rivals, the BJP and the Congress concluded the poll campaign on October 3 and now eye the reins of the agricultural state. While the Bharatiya Janata Party is looking to repeat one more term under the leadership of Nayab Singh Saini, the Congress hopes for a comeback in the state.
The state politics also has a few more political parties in the fray. While Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is looking to emerge as the kingmaker after the polls, a third front - Dushyant Chautala's Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), earlier BJP's ally, tied up with the Chandrashekhar Ravan's Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) - is also pinning its hopes on the electorate in the high stakes election.
