Karnataka Elections Results 2023: Elections for the 224 members of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly was held on May 10, while the results will be announced on May 13. The ruling BJP put an all-out effort to win as many seats from Karnataka as it can in order to secure a majority on its own as Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is a native of the area. Congress and the BJP squared off directly in this region, as the JD(S) found it difficult to gain traction.
Chikmagalur Assembly constituency is one of the 224 seats in the Karnataka State Assembly in India. It is part of Udupi Chikmagalur Lok Sabha seat.

Chikmagalur Assembly Elections 2023:
Chikmagalur is a legislative assembly constituency in Karnataka. This year, the Bharatiya Janata Party has shown confidence in C.T Ravi once again, while H.D. Thammaiah is contesting from Congress. On the other hand, from AAP, it is Eregowda and Thimmashetty is contesting from JD(S).
Chikmagalur Assembly Elections 2018:
C T Ravi of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat in 2018 with a margin of 26314 votes against Shankar B L of the Indian National Congress. The Udupi Chikmagalur Lok Sabha seat includes the Chikmagalur Assembly constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Shobha Karandlaje defeated Janata Dal (Secular) opponent Pramod Madhwaraj from the Udupi Chikmagalur Lok Sabha (MP) Seat by a margin of 349599 votes.
There are a total of 2,08,432 voters in the constituency that include general voters, NRI voters and service voters. Amongst the general voters 1,04,357 are male, 1,03,937 female and 23 others. The electorate sex' ratio in the constituency is 99.49 and the approximate literacy rate is 83%
In the 2013 Karnataka Assembly Elections, the BJP won this seat by a margin of 10,988 votes (7.9%), garnering 42.2% of the total votes cast. The seat had a voting turnout of 72.79% in 2013.
