THE ELECTION Commission of India has announced the Karnataka Assembly election on May 10, and the result of the polls will be announced on May 13.

Manvi is an assembly constituency in poll-bound Karnataka that is a part of the Raichur district.

This assembly seat was won by Venkatappa Nayak of the JD (S), who defeated Tanusree, an independent candidate, in the 2018 polls by a margin of 15,815 votes.

Manvi Assembly Election (2023)

In the 2023 Assembly polls, the JD(S) has fielded Raja Venkatappa Nayak as their candidate, while the Congress has chosen G Hampayya as their candidate, and the new entrant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has chosen Raja Shamsundar Nayak as their candidate for the polls. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has chosen BY Nayak.

Manvi Assembly Election (2018)

In 2018, Raja Venkatappa of the JD(S) emerged as the winner by securing 53,548 votes against the independent candidate Tanusree, who secured second place with a total of 37,733 votes. The JD (S) candidate won the seat by a total vote margin of 15,815 votes. Third place in the 2018 polls was grabbed by Sharanappa K Gudadinni of the BJP, who had secured 30,250 votes.

In 2013, G. Hampayya Sahukar Ballatagi won the seat on the INC ticket by a margin of 6,987 votes against JD(S) candidate Raja Venkatappa Nayak Raja Ambanna Nayak, who had secured 43,662 votes. In 2008, G. Hampayya Nayak Ballatagi won this assembly seat on the Congress ticket against BJP candidate Gangadhar Nayak.

In this assembly constituency, there are a total of 2,38,620 voters, which includes general voters, NRI voters, and service voters.
