Lok Sabha Election 2024: The high-octane campaigning for the seventh and final phase of the ongoing Lok Sabha election concluded on Thursday. The upcoming phase will witness voting in 57 parliamentary constituencies across seven states and the union territory of Chandigarh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of the candidates whose fates will be sealed by voters in phase 7 on June 1.

As part of the seventh phase, all 13 Lok Sabha seats across Punjab will go to the polls. Similarly, all four Lok Sabha seats across Himachal Pradesh will witness simultaneous voting on June 1. Besides these two states, Uttar Pradesh (13 seats), West Bengal (9), Odisha 6, Jharkhand (3), Bihar (8), and the union territory of Chandigarh (sole seat) are also set to witness voting in the last phase of Lok Sabha election 2024.

Lok Sabha Election 2024: Phase 7 Key Candidates

PM Narendra Modi is seeking a third straight term as Varanasi's MP this time. Congress' Ajay Rai, along with other candidates, is pitted against the Prime Minister in the high-profile constituency. Another highly anticipated electoral battle is set to be witnessed in the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh between politician-actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been fielded by the BJP, and state minister and Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, who is the son of late former CM Virbhadra Singh.

Another prominent politician and actor whose fate will be sealed by voters on June 1 is BJP's Ravi Kishan, who is the incumbent MP from Gorakhpur. The party has given him a chance to retain his status as the Lok Sabha representative of Gorakhpur. In Hamirpur, Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur is in the fray against candidates who aim to dislodge him as the seat's sitting MP. 

Another high-profile candidate whose electoral prowess will be put to test in the last phase is TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee. He will be fighting to retain his place in the Lok Sabha as the representative of the Diamond Harbour seat in West Bengal. Meanwhile, RJD supremo Lal Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti will be putting up a strong fight against sitting BJP MP from Pataliputra, Ram Kripal Yadav, who is aiming for a hat-trick victory on the seat.
